Wes Mortensen
Wes Mortensen currently serves as the Chair of the Board. He is an attorney in Spokane. He is licensed to practice law in the states of Washington, Idaho, California, and New Mexico.
Wes attended Brigham Young University on scholarship and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in International Law and Diplomacy, and with a minor in Japanese studies. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Brigham Young University's J. Reuben Clark Law School in 2004. While at law school, Wes was lead editor of the BYU Journal of Public Law and was recognized with an award for Outstanding Student Contribution in First Year Civil Procedure. During law school and since his graduation, Wes has been associated with law firms in Washington, New Mexico and California - gaining professional experience in various areas of the law, including personal injury, product liability, commercial and construction litigation, employment law, professional liability, trademark law, and workers compensation.
Wes also spends a great deal of time in various volunteer organizations. Beginning with a two-year service mission for his church in Japan, Wes has participated as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America over the years, as a Trustee of the Young Lawyers Division of the Spokane County Bar Association, and served as the Chair of the Spokane Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society - a service-based alumni organization.
In his spare time, Wes enjoys spending time with his family in the warm months at lake Coeur d'Alene, watching Disney movies with his young children, and coaching youth soccer.
